About this Event
Brittany Anjou has just released the critically acclaimed: Enamigo Reciprokataj via Origin Records. The album has reached 125 on the Jazz Week Top 300 chart and is getting radio airplay nationally and internationally.

Praise for Enami─Ło Reciprokataj:

"Each movement is crammed with juicy flavors and deliciously sweet nuances, mixing sophisticated modern sounds with exciting grooves. Check this one out! " - Jazz Weekly

"She's happy to lay waste to the instrument when that's what's called for : "Reciprokataj IV: Olive You" begins with a display of power that would mark the summit of most players performances." -Down Beat Magazine

"This album, so highly sophisticated with an original jazz perspective, is a roaring introduction that demands attention." -Amazon

Brittany Anjou is a Brooklyn based composer, vocalist, and piano focused multi-instrumentalist. Channeling Duke Ellington to Bikini Kill in her repertoire, this creative, versatile, and virtuoso performer hails from Seattle, who is one of a few to record and tour with godmothers of punk, The Shaggs. She has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such jazz heavyweights as Wynton Marsalis, Ernestine Anderson, Clark Terry and Elysian Fields. When she isn't playing original jazz, she fronts death metal band Bi TYRANT between snowboarding seasons.
