Recorded in a live session for a local radio station, 451: The Sonarchy Session covers much of the same ground as the very nice The Road Begins Here album, but with a change in players on the sax and the Fender Rhodes, a slightly different set list, and an additional level of the live dynamic. The action centers around Jorgensen on the drums and a heavy dose of the Rhodes courtesy of Ryan Burns. Some of the better selections from previous Jorgensen ventures are covered, as well as the mainstay of a good live set: a few numbers from someone else. Here, covers of Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles all show up from previous renditions, done with a little more volume and a little less groove than previously, perhaps. This is roughly the case for the whole album -- a little more energy and a little less finesse than other Jorgensen albums. Worth hearing for the group dynamic and the sheer abilities displayed in solos and conversions.
