A fearless modernist composer and improviser with a deep lyricism at her core, pianist Simona Premazzi is one of the most fascinating and creative pianists in New York today.

Simona Premazzi and Kyle Nasser have played together for more than a decade, but in late 2021, they hatched the idea to start a collaborative group, each doing half the writing. The rhythm section features bassist Noah Garabedian and drummer Jay Sawyer.

The Premazzi / Nasser Quartet regularly plays in NYC and tours in the US and abroad such as Providencia International Jazz Festival in Santiago de Chile and Rochester Int Jazz Festival. The new album From What I Recall will be released on OA2 Records in May 2025.
