The Vocal Jazz Collective consists of young vocalists from Jeff Baker's jazz curriculum at ArtsWest School For The Performing Arts in Eagle Idaho. The arrangements are really the key here from pianist Justin Nielsen.
Guitarist John McLean, trumpet player Thomas Marriott and saxophonist Bret Jensen appear on this CD as tasteful allegory.
The songs are combination of classics, from Gershwin's "My Man's Gone Now," "Moon River" to modern standards, "Both Sides Now," "Time After Time," to Cold play's, "Spark." performed in prime taste.
