"Cookin' At The Corner, Vol. 2" is a live club set from Hilton Head, South Carolina. Les De Merle
leads his trio from the drums and sings rougher material like "Work Song" and "All Around The World" in an energetic if occasionally overdone voice, leaving his wife, Bonnie Eisele, to sing more standard songs in a warm, Jazzy voice. The music is lively all the way through with pianist Mike Levine getting in some nice soloing as well as providing a decent backdrop for isele's voice. "How High The Moon," with Eisele doing some decent scatting, and the uptempo portion of "Autumn Leaves" shows how well this entire band blends together.
