MUSIC REVIEW BY Editor, Women in Jazz Media (UK)
Bassist and vocalist Kelsey Mines' first album in the modern jazz aesthetic (she has recorded albums in other genres) is a real gem. All the compositions on the album are by Ms. Mines. Her group consists of piano, bass, drums, percussion, trombone, guitar, and is rounded out by Elsa Nilsson on flutes. I have used several tracks on my radio show recently!
