After heaping high praise on Charged Particle's 2021 live recording, which was dedicated to the music of his brother Michael Brecker, iconic trumpeter Randy Brecker was inspired to join the band for a series of concerts during their U.K. and Stateside tours beginning in 2022. This performance from 2025 came at the end of a California tour and captures Charged Particles, saxophonist Tod Dickow and Brecker at the peak of their powers, celebrating the music and legacy of Michael Brecker in a sizzling set from the intimate and historic Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society in Half Moon Bay. Formed as a trio by drummer Jon Krosnick in 1993, Charged Particles hit its present form in 2015, with tenor saxophonist Tod Dickow joining Krosnick, pianist Murray Low, and bassist Aaron Germain.
