Still Life

Well......I can make the following statement with a certain conviction: Lynn Bush is an inveterate romantic! Her choices of cover tunes, the evidence. Her 'Dreamsville,' 'Like A Lover,' & 'A Time For Love,' were stunning. It still amazes me in all my years as a veteran composer of original songs (some 3000 now), how symbiotic the relationship is between a vocalist who is willing to take musical chances, and a strong presentation jazz trio........Thus, my personal accolade to her fine sidemen, who hold the project up forcefully, allowing Lynn's talents to lilt easily into the musical ether. Her obvious experience precedes her. So, may I close in saying that Lynn Bush is no stylistic imitator. On the contrary, her ideas are her own. She has a perfectly valid vocalise which she expresses beautifully with something approaching (I feel), an authentic new style. I can only suggest to anyone of my readers who might visit the Seattle, Wash. area.......To look this chick singer up! And, that includes me!
