The pianist, pianist, composer and music teacher Anne Drummond has been active in New York concert life since 1997. She also performed in North America and Europe.
In 2013, she released her album which is a mixture of various musical styles, referring equally to jazz and classical music. The album is lightweight and easy to assimilate, crafted by Drummond and perfectly arranged. In addition to her own compositions, the collection includes two compositions by pianist Benny Green ( 'Harold Land' and 'Magic Beans' ), and Alfredo Da Rocha Viany's, ( 'Um A Zero' ). In the last of these works he played the pianist David Chesky.
In an unusual way the flutist manages to combine standards applicable in classical music with jazz notes, we can see, among others. During the 'Elan' , where the main parties belong to the flute and cello, we are accompanied by a climate of freedom associated with improvised music.
The typical jazz sound is dominated by the composition of the pianist Anne Drummond on this album - Benny Green: '' Harold Land '' . Huge applause in this song is a recurring Brandy Disterheft.
Green's jazz soul has also dominated the rest of his compositions, including "Revolving." This is a medium-tempo, 4-minute miniature version of "Magic Beans ."
One of the most beautiful ballads written by Anne Drummond for this album is the charming '' Rustic Room '', which is basically a very small thumbnail for the flute and piano.
Opus magnum of the whole album is a title track preceded by a few dozen seconds. The guitar sounds of Vik Juris and the cellos of Dave Egger are very good, and Keita Ogawa's percussion is extremely unique.
Delicious and arranged arrangement, the album in the Origin label a kind of delicious and sophisticated snack between the main meals. Affordable and lightweight in music reception with the highest standards.
