The release opens with Kimposter, a high-octane track bursting with energy! Sharel Cassity on sax and bandleader Andrew Kim on trombone lay down the core framework, with Xavier Davis punctuating the phrases on piano. Backed by the powerhouse rhythm section of bassist Steve Bowman and drummer Ulysses Owens Jr., Kim takes the first solo and fires on all cylinders right out of the gate. His technique is impeccable and his phrasing is smoking. Cassity follows on saxophone, keeping the heat on high to form a formidable, sweat-inducing frontline. While Davis lowers the volume for his piano solo, the track's intense momentum never lags making it an excellent opener!

Owens, Jr. lays down an infectious drum rhythm on JJ Johnson's, Cube Steak with plenty of New Orleans gumbo. Cassity and Kim plays the lively melody in tandem leading up to Kim's first solo. Just listen to this kid play. His articulation is perfect and his feel... Cassity really swings it on sax with excellent piano work by Davis holding the top tight and Rodney Whitaker on bass with Owens, Jr. really snapping the drums. Powerful! Really changing things up, Nostos has a tight rhythm by Owens, Jr. and breaking into a nice shuffle, Randy Napoleon really brings it on guitar. Kim plays a soulful trombone solo and Cassity switches over to flute for a light yet potent of his own.

Discovered Ease is a terrific bop track with Kim taking the lead on trombone and playing like an old pro. His chops are amazing and his poise remarkable and anchored by Davis on piano. Michael Dease plays blows a smoking solo on Bari sax that really adds weight to this already heavy track and Davis' piano solo is bright and inviting. Kim and Dease each return for encore solos and a duet to wrap the track. How can they top this? Wrapping the release is Victor Young's classic, Stella By Starlight. Kim takes the lead on trombone with Napoleon laying in warm guitar rhythm, transitioning to lead guitar with lush chords and solid lead phrasing. This is a strong closer for a really super release!
