Delia Fischer: Beyond Bossa

The pianist, singer and songwriter Délia Fischer released her first international album, "Delia Fischer Beyond Bossa", by the label Origin Records (Seattle, USA), with the first recordings of her authorial repertoire in which she sings the songs with lyrics in English in versions recreated by the American composer, pianist and journalist Allen Morrison and with the participation of several Brazilian and international performers of different genres.
To illustrate this moment in the artist's career, the lyric video for the song "The Street Where I Was Born" is filled with creativity. The song is about affective sound memories, the sounds of the street that I heard in childhood and adolescence and that remain the same today. It was composed when she was passing through Rua General Glicério in Rio de Janeiro, where she lived as a child. "I was thrilled to hear people still playing the piano and the sounds of birds and cicadas that were the sounds of my childhood and adolescence. I sat down and wrote the lyrics at once and, after a while, I made the song myself based on my lyrics, something I had never done, I always do everything together", reveals Delia.

To record these passages in her life, the lyric video was all idealized with photos from Delia's childhood and adolescence portrait album. In these photos, moments from childhood with friends are shown, moments of studying at the piano, which she started playing at 12, as well as on the guitar and flute. Other memories depict her home, which looked more like a cultural center, with many instruments and a bunch of people playing and singing. Her friends arrived unannounced and listened to her studying the piano and also drew on the walls - in one of the photos you can see a little of the drawings. At another time they played at making the photo of the photo, imitating the photo of the time.
