The lyrical genius of the trumpet
A virtuosic trumpeter with a solo voice that defies comparison to other contemporary jazz trumpeters; Brad Goode is a true original. Formed in 2006, his quartet spans four musical generations from four regions of North America. Chicago bassist Kelly Sill, Canadian pianist Adrean Farrugia and New York drummer Anthony Lee join Goode in creating a rich & distinctive group dynamic, with a unique approach that straddles the line between structure and freedom.

Straight up Chicago jazz with a twist, just the way we like it. Smooth and fluid enough to sit back and make killer bucks as a sideman if he ...
Wondering Sound (Dave Sumner)
Another solid outing from trumpeter Brad Goode, who shows from album to album how changing a few little things can have a big effect. Whether it’s adding an unusual instrument to the mix or rethinking old standards and modern pop tunes, there’s always plenty of interesting stuff going on. His current album has Goode joined by pianist Adrean Far ...
All About Jazz (NICHOLAS F. MONDELLO)
It's not every trumpeter that affectionately garners the appellation, "Little Red Rodney," as Chicago-born and now Boulder, Colorado-located artist, Brad Goode once did. And, it's not only because of what grows from under his cap and on his chin. Goode, who has performed with the "Red Arrow" and many other jazz and pop greats as both a lead a ...
Music Lounge - WDCB, Chicago (Paul Abella)
Kicking things off, Chicago expatriate Brad Goode has a new album out on Origin called Montezuma. As with all of Goode's releases on Origin, you can expect things to be a little left of center, and you can expect an album filled with interesting songs and some engaged playing. That's certainly the case throughout Montezuma. This disc crackles wi ...
