With his engaging debut as a leader in Time Never Pauses, Chicago guitarist Hans Luchs offers up an intriguing batch of well-crafted originals and two delightfully reinterpreted standards.
Hans Luchs is a guitarist living in New York City after relocating in the fall of 2017 from his hometown of Chicago. Hans has performed in a wide array of settings, from small jazz clubs to large outdoor festivals. Hans regularly plays at venues across the country, and has also performed internationally in Europe, Canada, and Latin America.
Hans has performed and toured with masters of American music including 8-time Grammy winner Pepe Aguilar, Motown Legend Martha Reeves, and blues artist Shirley King just to name a few. Hans has also performed, recorded, and toured with a host of wonderful jazz musicians from New York, Chicago, and beyond.
As an educator, Hans has taught private lessons and classes at the elementary, secondary, and college level. Currently, Hans is a faculty member at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Hans has earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a Master's degree in Jazz Studies from DePaul University.
