Saxophonist Maddie Vogler explores the small and sometimes complicated intricacies of everyday life with a youthful verve, aided and abetted by her mentor, trumpeter Tito Carrillo.
Maddie Vogler is an in-demand musician, composer, and educator in the Chicagoland area and is a Luminarts Jazz Fellow with the Luminarts Cultural Foundation.
Maddie previously received her Bachelor's and Master's in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied with Tito Carrillo and Chip McNeill. She currently performs with a variety of groups on saxophones and woodwinds, and she teaches music production and jazz at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, IL.
Her debut record, While We Have Time, will be released September 15 via Origin Records.
